Garo will suffer from unemployment if reservations are openly 80% for both Khasi-Jaintia and Garo.

The Garo people and youth who seek jobs and vacancies in the state would suffer and not be able to get a single job if the reservation policy was amended from 40-40, that is, Garo 40 and Khasi-Jaintia 40, to open 80%, combining both the tribes.

Also, if the amendment of the policy really takes place, then the state would come to a very good development as Khasi-Jaintia People have good and better literacy with highly competitive and a good grade if compared to the Garo, but the existing policy along the roster if the highest mark among the Garos if he/she obtained only 50 marks; also, he is eligible or selected, but the Khasi-Jaintia If the topper is 90 and the one who gets 80 is rejected, this has occurred many times.

The mark obtained by the Garos is less than Khasi-Jaintia and is all about the policy. Though they are poor in examination, the policy helps them, thus creating and inviting poor development in the state because of the lack of good skills of workers and servants, whose consideration is not based on merit but on policy.

The delay of the government to review both the policy and the roster system that has to be applied is just because the government has a good majority from Garo Hill in the leadership of the NPP, and if such further agitation of the Khasi-Jaintia people continues aggressively, conflict and division in between are possible.

The thing is not impossible, but simple common sense. We know that the CM of the State is from Garo Hill, so no doubt at last if it's a very foul, but the interest of the party and the impression of the Party Government in their leadership make it hopeless for Khasi-Jaintia unless a new government rules.
