It's easy to get a driving licence in Meghalaya without a driving test or physical test, which were very important factors in order to qualify for having such a licence.

In Meghalaya, fewer people know about the rules and regulations of their respective vehicles while moving on roads and entering them. People are not aware of anything written on the sign board along the roadside.

The installation of traffic lights in Shillong has been done before to help the traffic police assemble the traffic accordingly. But it fails when nobody knows how to operate the light that is displayed on the side of the police point.

Disabled and mentally ill individuals can also obtain a licence within a month. Without being busy in their respective transport departments.

The tragedy of road accidents happens almost every day in our state. Some alert speed limit signboards have been limited to very low speeds; however, the illiterate on such particular licences bring an uncomfortable problem that can lead to the loss of someone else whom we love.

The traffic jam in Shillong and other congested areas is not caused by more vehicles moving at the same time; it is caused by overtaking during traffic jams, u-turns from the road, parking anywhere, entry to no entry spot, making two-lane roads, shifting of panes in one direction, and many more, in which some advanced foreign countries would be surprised to see how these people have licences.

Driving licence in Meghalaya is somehow just giving money to some Dalals for what they call it, and they will do everything for you no matter what if you have neither a leg nor a hand. Just because you have money, you can have everything in Meghalaya.
