Fail in border, humiliate Khasi youth by Lathi charge and Tear gas in Shillong

The home department of Meghalaya, the police fail in many border issues to protect the land and maintain peace and security in the border area, with priority given to the Meghalaya-Assam border, where disputes are almost increasing. The absence of police to maintain peace at the border invites the Assam authority to keep on capturing and influencing Assamese people to move more and more towards our territory.

 
Recently, a video went viral showing Meghalaya Police chasing by Assam from the border towards the state, somewhere near Jaintia Hill. The demise of local people in Mukroh is evidence of the poor service of the Home Department in the dispute area.
 
However, we may consider how poor the Home Department is at looking after and maintaining social peace as per law and order, but unexpectedly, we witnessed yesterday, the 4th of September, how bravely the police beat up the youth who rallied towards the Secretariat for peace agitations just to make sure that the government should keep an eye on non-tribals who really have more independence on rallies than the Khasi youth.
 
The protest yesterday along the GS road by the HITO pressure group had zero violence on the way but was stuck and blocked by police near the DC office, which made them angry for blocking their way to the secretariat. However, we could see that Hito President has requested youth and HITO members to walk in peace, not sort of attacking anyone on the way, but with the main perspective of demanding toward the Government.

Reportedly that many HITO youth has beaten up and lathi charge and some of them are in severe injure while police has deploy trop to break the HITO mob by using tear gas and other to stop the HITO from the movement.
